Today our whole school had a art expo where you have to walk around the school and look at other classes, or team’s art. Everyone had their own route to go to all the classes. Our route was first to the year 1’2 from year’2 and so on. Out of all the art i saw my favourite part was the team 5 art because there was lots of different type’s of art.
I am a Year 8 student at Pt England School in Auckland, NZ. My teacher is Whaea Kelly.

The Legend of kava tonga
Today we had watched a tongan video. Before this video i didnt really understand what the point in kava was but now i understand that kava is special and keeps the peace in tonga. Have you ever wondered how special kava is to tonga?. So today my literacy class watched a video which was about a couple Fefanga and fefafa and their daughter living on a barren island. Ko founga hono ma'u'e Tonga 'a hono hingoa
One day there lived a very big strong and muscular man and his name is Maui. One day he swam to samoa and meet a man named Tonga Taumata'u (The expert fisherman). So him and maui got along and then tonga asked maui if he would like one of his special looking hooks. But the interesting thing is that maui did not pick one of the special ones he picked the old ragged hook with spider webs all over it.
Maui then grabbed that hook and thanked tonga then maui asked tonga if he wanted anything back. Tonga then said "when you find a island name it after me" maui had accepted his request. So he went off and started fishing all of a sudden he hooked somthing very big not a fish not a whale but a island which he named TONGA
